Q: I lost my building instructions. How can I get new ones?

Q: Some models are not shown on my building instructions. Are there instructions for these models available?

A: Unfortunately not. Meccano has offered for over 100 years a universal construction range of nuts and bolts. Our goal is to give children the opportunity to build the models shown on the building instructions, but also to use this set to build whatever their imagination comes up with. We therefore offer suggestions as to what can be built using the pieces in the box to help stimulate their imagination, without giving detailed instructions for these additional models.

Q: How long will it take for my spare parts to arrive?

A: As all spare parts are sent from our Calais office approximately 7-10 days however we will aim to get them to you as quickly as we possibly can.

Q: Can we buy additional spare parts from Meccano?

Q: Are all metal parts compatible with each other?

A: Yes, all our metal parts are compatible with one another.

Q: My child is the age shown on the box but he/she can’t put together the models.

A: The age shown on the Meccano boxes is a “from” age. Depending on how much experience the child has with constructing Meccano, your child may either find it easy or more difficult to build the models by himself/herself. Meccano toys are educational and family-oriented; a child can ask for a parent’s help to learn how to build the models.
